Hello, I'm Iris, a German with Albanian roots. I spend most of my time in Germany, but my heart often draws me back to Albania, especially to the beach. There, I encounter the friendliest street dogs I've ever met. 🏖️🐕

Since childhood, I've been rescuing dogs and cats — and sometimes even turtles — from Albania and finding loving homes for them in Germany. My own dog, Lucy, whom I adopted from Durrës, Albania, is a true heart of my life. Lucy has a unique personality: she's funny, very loving, and sometimes a bit shy, especially around larger dogs. But once she realizes they're all friendly, despite her sometimes rowdy behavior, she loves endlessly. 🐶

Alongside Lucy, my cat Hector also enriches our lives. We call him "the flying Hector" because he can jump exceptionally far and loves to romp around outside. His charm and adventurous spirit bring smiles to our faces every day. 😺

The idea for Garfield & Pluto came through my friend and also the mother-in-law of my brother. She runs an organization for rescuing street dogs and cats in Albania. In a rented space, she single-handedly cares for over 90 dogs — every day, no matter the weather. She works tirelessly to give a voice to those who have none. Her big heart for animals inspires us daily. ❤️

Our team currently consists of just me, Lucy, and the flying Hector, as the shop is brand new. But together, we can achieve great things. Let's combine the fun of shopping with a good cause! 🛍️
